Joakim Nordanstig is a vascular surgeon and associate professor in vascular surgery in Sweden, focusing on peripheral artery disease (PAD) treatment with a particular interest in drug-eluting technology for balloons and stents. He leads the SWEDEPAD trial, which investigate the use of drug-eluting balloons and stents in endovascular interventions.
