Aorta

Live in a box - Aorta I

Follow this PVI 2024 session on the aorta to explore in situ laser fenestrations (ISLF) for urgent arch and thoracoabdominal pathologies. ISLF enables in vivo stentgraft customisation and rapid exclusion of ruptured aneurysms while maintaining visceral perfusion, reducing ischemic risk. The session also highlights ISLF as a bail-out option for stentgraft misalignment.

Discover the challenges of launching an endovascular aortic program, and a patented process for quickly performing physician-modified endografts (PMEG) without patient-specific templates. PMEG remains a life-saving technique requiring prior FEVAR-BEVAR expertise, standardized methods, and proven outcomes.

The session further analyses acute Type B dissection—from malperfusion to aneurysm—and reviews a specialised FET technique and its impact on dissection remodeling. Finally, learn troubleshooting strategies for four-branch endograft target artery bridging stent dislodgement.
