This initiative was born from discussions between Prof. Bernardo Mendes, Co-Director of the UCLA Aortic Center in Los Angeles, Dr. Sukgu Han, Co-Director of the USC Aortic Center, and Prof. Stephan Haulon, Head of the Aortic Center at GHPSJ in Paris and Course Director of Paris Vascular Insights.

From this international collaboration emerged a shared ambition: to design a different kind of course—one firmly rooted in real-world practice and aligned with the daily challenges faced in the operating room. This vision has taken shape in a unique meeting to be held in Los Angeles on October 8–9, with the strong belief that this format will generate meaningful interest and have a tangible impact on clinical practice.

The course will adopt a highly practical, case-based approach focused on real clinical situations—whether exemplary or complex, successful or challenging—to provide an honest and comprehensive view of everyday interventions. Recognizing that learning also comes from interaction, demonstration, and innovation, the first afternoon will be dedicated to hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, innovation showcases, experience sharing, and collaborative brainstorming.

More than a course, this event is designed as a forum for knowledge exchange, open discussion, and collective learning, all with the ultimate goal of improving patient care.
